EMBARCADERO COVE

Over the decades, Oakland’s Central Waterfront was home to various industrial and commercial businesses including the Cotton Mill. The area is currently a mix of aging office buildings, commercial, and some interesting adaptive reuse of historic buildings. Now there is a rare opportunity to transform an underutilized shoreline and adjacent lands into a vibrant, mixed-use waterfront district that will bring housing, jobs, retail, shoreline access, parks and community open spaces. The initiative aligns directly with:

•       Oakland 2045 General Plan Update

•       The Central Estuary Area Policy Plan

Embarcadero Business Park LLC (EBP) is proposing to redevelop a portion of this area in coordination with adjacent property owners and the City of Oakland and Port of Oakland.  EBP has undertaken substantial technical, market, and feasibility studies to determine the best path forward. We are actively having conversations with stakeholders.
